The controller performs, concerning the respective pairs, actions for collecting, plural times, a difference between first intensity indicated by a detection signal output from the light receiving element, which is a pair of the light emitting element, in a state in which the light emitting element is caused to emit light and second intensity indicated by a detection signal output from the light receiving element during non-light emission of the light emitting element and updating the reference value of the pair stored in the memory using a minimum of differences collected plural times.
