A tilt rotation axis of the camera lens is positioned more in a zenith direction than a center of the dome cover, and a polarizing filter or a partially darkening filter is inserted on an optical axis of the camera lens as a tilt angle of the camera lens becomes larger than a predetermined threshold angle. According to this dome camera, both securing of a wide field of view and reduction in the image quality deterioration may be achieved when capturing an image in a direction at a large tilt angle (a direction near the horizontal direction).
