The pressure vessel includes a vessel liner forming a hollow tube and including a plurality of layers with an aperture formed therein, wherein at least one of the layers is a barrier layer and an end cap coupled to the vessel liner, wherein the end cap has a plurality of layers, and wherein at least one of the layers of the end cap is a barrier layer.
