The organic light emitting device includes an organic light emitting panel, a drive unit receiving image data and image luminance discrimination signal that includes information on a maximum luminance of the image and providing a data voltage corresponding to the image luminance discrimination signal to the organic light emitting panel, and a power supply unit providing a common voltage to the organic light emitting panel. The common voltage is varied to correspond to the image luminance discrimination signal.
