Each logical page in the plurality of logical pages is associated with a plurality of physical pages in the solid state memory. Each logical page in the plurality of logical pages is assigned to one group in a plurality of groups. A request is sent to a flash translation layer for an operation to be performed by the flash translation layer on a group in the plurality of groups.
