An ear hook (3; 32) is attached to the actuating member (13). The ear hook (3; 32) can be arranged in a right ear mode for wearing the headset (1) at the right ear and a left ear mode for wearing the headset at the left ear. The switch (15; 19) switches the headset electronics from an active state to a passive state, when the ear hook (3) is turned about the first axis (A1) in a first direction (P1) from an active position to a first passive position. The switch (15; 19) switches the headset electronics from the active state to the passive state when the ear hook (3) is turned about the first axis (A1) in the second direction (P2) from the active position to a second passive position.
