The electronic device includes: an acceleration sensor that detects acceleration in a gravity direction in a state where the swimmer stands erect; and a first communication unit that transmits acceleration data indicating the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor to the analysis apparatus. The analysis apparatus includes: a second communication unit that receives the acceleration data from the electronic device; and a control unit that determines whether the swimmer is in a swimming state or the swimmer is in a resting state, based on the acceleration data received by the second communication unit.
