Establishing the label switched path between a source node and a sink node utilizes a connection establishment request message that carries bandwidth request information corresponding to different conditions. Based on the bandwidth request information corresponding to the different conditions, various amounts of bandwidth resources corresponding to the different conditions are reserved on local links that establish a connection between the source node and the sink node.
