In one aspect, a method includes detecting, by a caller device, a prompt to leave a voicemail message. The method further includes generating, by the caller device, a recording of the voicemail message based on detecting the prompt. The method further includes storing, by the caller device, the recording of the voicemail message. The method further includes transmitting, by the caller device, the stored recording of the voicemail message.
