The mobile terminal may include a microphone, a necklace strap, a pendant part sliding to move along the necklace strap by being coupled with the necklace strap, a sensing unit detecting a location of the pendant part in accordance with a slide movement of the pendant part, and a controller to recognize a voice command received through the microphone. The controller may perform a first function in response to a first voice command recognized through the microphone if the detected location of the pendant part belongs to a first range. The controller may perform a second function in response to the first voice command recognized through the microphone if the detected location of the pendant part belongs to a second range.
