At least one of the image transmitting apparatus and the received image displaying apparatus comprises: a reference sync signal generating unit that generates the reference sync signals; and a control unit that, if the wireless communication unit has received no reference sync signals for a certain time interval, controls the reference sync signal generating unit to generate reference sync signals and that further controls the wireless communication unit to wirelessly transmit the reference sync signals to the other apparatus included in the image transmitting/receiving system.
