The phosphorescent compound represented by the following Chemical Formula 1, where X, Y, and Z are each selected from the group consisting of carbon and nitrogen, and when x, y, and z are all carbon, R is any one selected from the group consisting of carbazole, α-carboline, β-carboline, γ-carboline, fluorine, dibenzothiophene, dibenzofuran, triphenylsilane, tetraphenylsilane, pyridine, quinoline, isoquinoline, pyrimidine, diphenylphosphineoxide, and substituents thereof.
