Embodiments include determination that a portion of a frame to be transmitted in a downlink from a base station to a user equipment (UE) may be lost by the UE. Embodiments further include determination that a portion of the frame will be received by the UE. Embodiments further include causing a transmit power of the base station to be increased for the portion of the frame that will be received.
