Here, the “β-OH value” is a value obtained from the following equation by measuring the transmittance of glass by FT-IR. β-OH value=(1/X)log 10(T1/T2) X: thickness of glass (mm) T1: transmittance (%) at a reference wavelength of 3,846 cm−1 T2: minimum transmittance (%) at a hydroxyl group absorption wavelength of around 3,600 cm−1.
