The lock comprises an electronic circuitry means for providing a wireless interface for a communication device to proceed authentication with the communication device, and issue an open command provided that the authentication is successful; actuator means to receive the open command to set the lock in a mechanically openable state, the electronic circuitry means being configured to receive wirelessly from the communication device operating power for the electronic circuitry means and the actuator means.
