The display apparatus includes a display unit that alternately displays the first and second images; an irradiation unit that provides irradiation light; a color filter that respectively includes first and second areas for the first and second images, through which the irradiation light is transmitted; and a distribution unit that distributes the irradiation light transmitted through the first area of the color filter to the first direction and through the second area of the color filter to the second direction. The color filter includes color components of three primary colors and a white color.
