The display device further includes a gate driver configured provide a plurality of gate signals through the plurality of gate lines to the plurality of pixels according to at least one of a discharge signal and a scanning start signal for controlling the plurality of pixels, the gate driver being configured to provide a plurality of gate-off signals through the plurality of gate lines to the plurality of pixels according to the discharge signal. The display device further includes a signal provider configured to provide the discharge signal to the gate driver when the signal provider determines that an image signal is abnormal.
