The terminal device includes a communication unit configured to perform communication with an external target, a rollable display unit configured to be stored in the housing and to be exposed from the housing, a sub display unit configured to be positioned on a portion of the housing, a grip unit configured to be positioned on a lower portion of the housing and to detect whether or not a contact is being made, a sensor unit configured to detect a movement of the terminal device, an input unit configured to receive commands from an external source, and a controller, wherein the controller may be configured to set up a first mode, in case the rollable display unit is exposed from the housing, wherein at least one key of the input unit is mapped to a key configured to perform a function respective to the first mode, and to set up a second mode, in case the rollable display unit is stored in the housing, and in case a contact state detected by the grip unit matches with a predetermined contact state, wherein at least one key of the input unit is mapped to a key configured to perform a function respective to the second mode.
