The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for acquiring downlink quality information, which relate to the communications field and are used to resolve a problem in the prior art that a base station cannot learn interference caused by a UE to a neighboring cell. The method provided in the present invention includes: measuring the downlink quality information; and reporting the downlink quality information to a network-side device.
