The apparatus having binary web service interface to communicate with nodes operationally connected to the apparatus using a binary web service, the nodes having one or more resources, the binary web service interface receives from a node a registration message including information on the address of the node, a flag indicating that at least part of the resources of the node are defined in a template, and a node type identification; a second interface for retrieving template information on the basis of the node type identification and a resource component for storing information on nodes, node addresses, node resources and template information.
