The electronic device receives first notification information detected by an external device, and filtering information indicative of an action type for which notification of the first notification information should be permitted or prohibited. The electronic device executes, when the estimated action is of the action type for which notification of the first notification information is permitted, processing for notifying the user of the first notification information.
