The electric device includes a receptacle configured to be connected with an external connector, and a ground member and a control circuit that are electrically connected to the receptacle. The receptacle includes a shell configured to accommodate the external connector, a tongue disposed in a space of the shell and enclosed by the shell, at least one first contact disposed on the tongue and electrically connected to the ground member, at least one second contact disposed on the tongue and electrically connected to the control circuit, and at least one third contact that is formed of at least a portion of a conductive member included in the tongue and electrically connected to the control circuit. The first contact may have a length further extending over the third contact in a direction where the external connector is separated from the receptacle.
