The liquid crystal display panel includes lower substrate having a first substrate; an upper substrate having a second substrate that is opposite to the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer is disposed between the lower and upper substrates such that liquid crystals are arranged in a first region between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a dam pattern arranged in a second region which surrounds a circumference of the first region as a region between the first substrate and the second substrate, the dam pattern having both a physical barrier function and a chemical barrier function.
