A first piece of the pad is adjacent the suppository so that medication can be applied concurrently to both. A second piece of the pad is a non-permeable layer disposed against the first piece. A third piece is an absorbent layer disposed against the second piece. A fourth piece is another non permeable layer disposed against the third piece. Medication from a container is applied to the unit through an adapter.
