The apparatus comprises: a sealed thermal-insulating transparent container (1), adapted to contain a liquid crystal module (5) to be tested; a temperature-control module, adapted to adjust the temperature inside the container; a signal generator module (4), adapted to provide a drive signal to the liquid crystal module to be tested. The apparatus employs a sealed, well thermal-insulating, transparent container, and utilizes the heat emitted from the panel and the backlight of the module itself to form a desired temperature environment for detection.
