A printable display media laminate (10) for use as a point of purchase sign or the like comprises a face stock layer (12) which may be paper or other easily printable material. A coating composition (14) is extrusion coated onto a face of the paper or other face stock material to provide a "clinging" layer to form a self adhering laminate which is positionable on a smooth surface and is easily removed without leaving any adhesive residue or the like. The coating composition may be an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having a predetermined content of vinyl acetate, and may include stabilizers and aged adhesion inhibitors. The laminate is positioned on a substrate by pressure induced adherence and is selectively repositionable. The face stock material is amenable to a variety of printing techniques including offset printing to provide extremely useful and cost effective product.
