Abstract:
The motor has a stator equipped with several groups (Gn) of electrodes angularly offset in relation to one another about an axis of rotation of said micromotor, an electrically conductive rotor of which at least one arm carries a counter-electrode capable of co-operating with the stator electrodes in order to form between the latter an air gap, and a guide ring for rotatably and possibly translationally driving the rotor. The motor is characterized in that the rotor has at least one bridge-forming element (40a-f) located, at least in part, above an electrostatic field plane (EFP) of the motor, this element constituting an elevated arm of the rotor and carrying one or several mechanically or electrically functional units (26, 151, 161) capable of co-operationg with one or several complementary units (4, 152, 162) located within or outside the electrostatic field plane and within or outside the group of electrodes of the stator. The micromotor may be used for stepping, continuous rotation or bi-directional rotation drive of an extremely miniaturized mechanism.
