A cable processing apparatus according to the present invention comprises a length measuring unit, first and second clamp mechanisms, a cutter mechanism, first and second terminal bonding mechanisms, first and second transfer mechanisms, a cable discharge mechanism, and means for moving up and down a reception clamp portion of the cable discharge mechanism in synchronism with elevation of a clamp portion of the second clamp mechanism at the time of the terminal bonding operation of the second terminal bonding mechansm. The position of this reception clamp portion coincides with the position of a covered cable so that it can clamp the covered cable at the time of the terminal bonding operation of the second terminal bonding mechanism.
