The invention relates to a front-end fork lift truck on the undercarriage (12) of which a driver compartment (14) is arranged between a frontal lifting structure and load-bearing unit (16) and a rear monobloc case (22) which serves to house batteries or drive components and as counterweight. Said driver compartment (14) comprises a driver seat unit (34) that pivots around a vertical axis with a substantially vertical column (32) which is arranged in front of a front side of the rear monobloc case (22) and with its lower end area is mounted in a pivoting manner in a pivot bearing embedded in the undercarriage (12), and a driver seat (30) positioned at the upper end of said column (32) in such a way that it projects backward above the rear monobloc case (22). Said driver compartment further comprises a foot console/pedal unit positioned in the lower area of the column (32) and above the pivot bearing and steering and control bodies arranged on the pivotable driver seat unit (34) for steering the wheels of the fork lift truck or for controlling the functions of the fork lift load-bearing unit (16).
