The invention relates to a ferrule for optical waveguides, comprising a connector housing (31) which engages with another connector housing in a direction of insertion (32). Said connector housing (31) has at least one receiving area (38) for receiving a multiple optical waveguide and is made from a thermoplastic material to which long filler particles (47) have been added. In at least one part surrounding the receiving area (38), the filler particles (47) are arranged in such a way that the direction in which they longitudinally extend runs at least partially crosswise to the direction of insertion (32). In a further embodiment of the invention, the connector housing has two receiving areas for receiving two multiple optical waveguides.
