The invention relates to a snap-action switch comprising two spaced fixed contacts, a contact element that can move between a closed position, in which the contact element connects the fixed contacts in an electrically conductive manner, and an open position, in which the contact element is spaced from at least one fixed contact. Said switch also comprises an actuation element for moving the contact elements between the closed position and the open position and a snap-action spring for snapping the contact element between the closed position and the open position. The invention aims at improving said snap-action switch in such a way that it has a compact and simple structure. To this end, the snap-action spring comprises a domed spring plate that may be snapped from a first domed positioned to a second domed position and vice versa.
