Abstract:
A method for treating cardiac arrest includes defibrillating (38) the patient, and/or ventilating (42) the patient, administering a cardiac arrest drug such as epinephrine to resuscitate the patient, then cooling the patient using one or more cooling catheters (18) positioned in the central venous system of the patient.
