A smart card connector, in particular a SIM card connector, comprising: a contact support (3), contact elements (2) moutned in said contact support (3), said contact elements being adapted to provide contact between contact zones of a smart card and a SIM card, respectively, and wherein the contact element (2) comprises a frame (10) which generates part of the spring force of the contact element.
