Abstract:
An apparatus and method for positioning and controlling the movement of a bone removal device (10) and thus of controlling the profile of material removed by the device. Also an improved drive mechanism for a bone removal device, where the drive shaft (46) is readily removable for maintenance or replacement, without significant disassembly of the device.
