Abstract:
A pressure release valve, comprising a shaft part (20) concentrically installed in a pressure release port (10) provided in a sealing plate (3) sealingly fitted to the opening part of the case of a capacitor or a battery and the valve body (30) fixedly fitted to the inside of the pressure release port (10) having a seal lip (33) facing the outside of a pressure container, and closely fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft part (20) with a specified tension, whereby, when a pressure inside the case rises beyond a specified value, the seal lip (33) is operated to open the valve so as to release the pressure inside the case to the atmosphere.
