Said high-pressure pump (18) feeds fuel into a storage unit (24) which is connected to at least one injector (26) injecting fuel into the combustion engine. A fuel filter (20) is disposed between the feed pump (10) and the high-pressure pump (18). A return path (60) for fuel is provided from the at least one injector (26) and/or from the storage unit (24) to a low-pressure area. Another fuel filter (62) is disposed in the return path (60) which runs into the connection (16) between the feed pump (1) and the high-pressure pump (18) downstream from the fuel filter (62).
