Abstract:
The size and power consumption of a ring trip monitor circuit (330), which performs one of the BORSHT functions of a telephone line card, is reduced by utilizing an operational amplifier (334B) with feedback resistors (R5, R6), a resistor network (R1, R2, R3, R4), and a ring signal generator (320) that is only connected to the line when a ring condition is present.
