An environment-friendly glue recognised as safe for health, in particular a glue for wood and cellulose materials, is disclosed, as well as its preparation and use. The glue contains as components at least one polysaccharide, lignin sulfonate and an aqueous solvent, or at least one polysaccharide and a lignin sulfonate dissolved in an aqueous solvent. Unlike the known glues based on lignin sulfonate, the glue according to the invention is more resistant to water.
