Abstract:
A face milling or end tool (10), includes a hollow cutter head (11) of a cylindrical configuration formed with a plurality of cutter edges (16a) on its outer cylindrical surface, and with a plurality of passageways (16b) therethrough leading from the cutter edges (16a) to the interior of the hollow cutter head (11); the cutter edges (16a) being oriented such that, upon rotation (a) of the cutter tool (10) while the outer cylindrical surface of the hollow cutter head (11) is engaged with a workpiece, the cutter edges (16a) remove portions of the workpiece and direct such removed portions via the passageways (16b) into the interior of the cutter head (11) for removal therefrom trough windows (13) in a mounting section (12) of the tool (10).
