An apparatus (1) for conveying products comprises at least a first conveyor (2) and a second conveyor (3), each comprising at least a first drivable conveyor track (4a, 5a) for carrying and conveying the products thereon. The apparatus further comprises at least a parallel first transition (7a) between the first conveyor track (4a) of said first conveyor (2) and the first conveyor track (5a) of said second conveyor (3), via which first transition (7a) the products can be moved between said first conveyor (2) and said second conveyor (3) by means of a first control member (8a). The first and the second conveyor (2, 3) each comprise at least a second conveyor track (4b-d, 5b-d) and a second transition (7b) and a second control member (8b-d). The first conveyor (2) includes a parallel part, in which the first and second conveyor tracks (4a-d) of the first conveyor (2) extend parallel to each other and in which the spacing between the first and second conveyor tracks (4a-d) in the transverse direction thereof is smaller than the width of the first conveyor track (5a-d) of the second conveyor (3) at the location of the first transition (7).
