The invention relates to an extractable extractor hood (100) for suctioning vapour from a cooking area (200) arranged at a wall (300), wherein the extractor hood (100) comprises - a first body (10) that can be mounted to the wall (300) and - a second body (20) that can be moved relative to the first body (10) in the horizontal direction. The aim of the invention is to refine said extractable extractor hood in such a manner that said extractable extractor hood (100) can receive the largest possible filter volume for filtering the vapour, may be produced at the lowest potential cost and be mounted to the wall in as simple a manner as possible. In order to achieve said aim, it is proposed that the second body (20) - is larger than the first body (10), - can be moved at least in sections over the first body (10) in the direction of the wall (300) in order to reduce the space required for the extractable extractor hood (100), and - can be moved at least in sections from the first body (10) downwards in the direction away from the wall (300) in order to extract the extractable extractor hood (100).
