The invention relates to a ball joint that can be used for torque transmission in the drive train of a motor vehicle. The ball joint comprises an inner hub (1) and an outer hub (2), in which raceways (12a, 13a; 12b, 13b) that are associated with each other in pairs are arranged, in each raceway one ball (14) being provided for transmitting the torque. Furthermore, a bellows (15) is associated to the joint for sealing the joint, wherein the outer hub (2) comprises at least one inner element (8) provided with the raceways, a damping element (9a, 9b) at least regionally surrounding said inner element and/or at least one fastening element (4; 17) at least regionally surrounding the inner element (8) and/or the damping element. The invention further relates to a method for mounting a ball joint of said kind.
