Valve (1) having a cap arrangement (5) for tyres and tubes intended for mounting on a wheel rim, especially for motor cars where the valve has a freely accessible tubular valve body (2). The cap arrangement (1) is furnished with a first part of a securing means (9, 6; 13; 14; 6) and the tubular portion of the valve (2,3) is furnished with a second part (2; 15; 16) of the securing means, where the securing means are mutually cooperating for securing the cap arrangement on the outer free end of the tubular part of the valve. The mutually cooperating securing means are designed as a snap-lock connection, where the first part of the snap-lock connection is constructed in the cap arrangement while the other part is constructed directly on the valve. Further, there is an embodiment with an operating handle (18) for the cap arrangement and an embodiment where the cap is connected to the valve.
