Abstract:
The invention relates to a dishwasher having a dishwashing compartment which can be filled with washware and having a control device (25) for adjusting partial program steps of a dishwashing cycle, for example prewashing (V), cleaning (R), mid-cycle rinsing (Z), final rinsing (K) and drying (T). According to the invention, the dishwasher has a sterilization unit (20) with which hot and dry air can be introduced into the dishwashing compartment for the hot-air sterilization of the washware which is arranged in the dishwashing compartment.
