System for a decorative interlocking tree trunk is provided. The decorative tree trunk includes multiple trunk layers which in turn are formed from multiple trunk pieces. Each trunk piece comprise of one or more slots, and one or more protrusions. The usage of individual trunk pieces for constructing the tree trunk facilitates assembling and disassembling of the tree trunk. Additionally, the trunk can be constructed from a suitable number of trunk layers to form a tree trunk with a desired length.
