Abstract:
Systems and techniques are provided for high frequency clock (or local oscillator) distribution and phase shifting. According to one embodiment, an injection locking frequency multiplier is used to realize both frequency multiplication and phase shifting in a cell of an array system, multi-core processor, or network-on-chip system, enabling a lower than operating frequency local oscillator distribution to the cell. With four control bits (16 values) to an injection locking frequency multiplier (either as a single multiplier circuit or multiplier chain), a 360 degree phase control can be achieved.
