Abstract:
A method for forming a wave form for a stent (100) includes moving a first forming portion (22) of a first forming member (20) in a direction substantially perpendicular to a first direction direction (FD) along which a formable material (12) is provided to engage and deform the formable material (12) against a first forming portion (32) of the second forming member (30). Then first and second forming members (20, 30) are jointly moved in a direction substantially opposite the first direction to draw and form the formable material over the first forming portion (32) of the second forming member (30). Then the first forming member (20) is disengaged from the formable material (12) and is rotated to position a second forming portion (24, 26, 28) of the first forming member (20) to face the formable material (12).
