A multi-layer laminate film comprises: an inner layer assembly (31) for forming an inner face of a package, an outer layer (38), or an outer layer assembly, for forming an outer face of a package; resealable adhesive (39) between the inner layer assembly (31) and the outer layer (38), or the outer layer assembly. The inner layer assembly (31) comprises a combination of a sealant layer and a support layer, the support layer being positioned adjacent the resealable adhesive. The sealant layer is bonded to the support layer by a permanent adhesive or the sealant layer and the support layer are a coextruded film. A package (1) formed from the laminate has an openable portion (15, 115) which is openable to define an access aperture (16, 116) to the package. The openable portion (15, 115) is defined by offset cut lines in the layers of the laminate.
