At least some embodiments provide a method for updating forwarding information within a subset of a plurality of infrastructure entities (100) of a mobile communication system (300). The forwarding information indicates a route for user data traversing the subset of infrastructure entities to the mobile transceiver (200). The method comprises obtaining (12) a paging request for the mobile transceiver (200). The method further comprises providing (14) information on a location for the mobile transceiver (200) based on the paging request. The method further comprises forwarding (16) the information on the location to the plurality of infrastructure entities (100) along an updated route. The method further comprises updating (18) the forwarding information within the subset of infrastructure entities according to the updated route.
