The valve includes a cage (206, 506, 606, 702) having a first section (209, 509, 609, 706) adjacent the valve seat (202, 502, 602, 708) with a first fluid flow passage (208, 508, 608, 704), a second section (211, 511, 611, 712) spaced from the first section along a longitudinal axis of the cage with a second fluid flow passage (210, 510, 610, 710), and a third section (212, 512, 612, 714) devoid of a fluid flow passage between the first and second sections, and a plug (207, 507, 607, 716) slidably disposed in the cage, the plug having a third fluid flow passage (222, 522, 622, 718) through a skirt (221, 523, 623, 719) of the plug, the third fluid flow passage to be fluidly coupled to the second fluid flow passage during a stroke of the plug.
